Grand Haven turned the ball over six time in a 16-0 O-K Red Conference loss to Jenison on Friday night.

With the loss the Buccaneers fall to 0-5 this season.

Jenison opened the scoring in the first quarter with a one-yard rushing touchdown. The ensuing PAT was converted to take a 7-0 lead.

Jenison maintained a 7-0 lead at halftime.

In the third quarter, Jenison extended the lead to 10-0 on a 26-yard field goal. 

Jenison iced the game in the fourth quarter, kicking  26-yard and a 16-yard field goals. 

Grand Haven’s offense turned the ball over six times, including five interceptions, while being held to 59 yards rushing this evening. 

Ryan Francis led Grand Haven with 54 yards rushing on 11 attempts while Tanner Williams led the team in receiving with three catches for 43 yards.

Jack Bewalda totaled 27 yards on three catches for Grand haven.

Defensively, Matthew Sanders led the Buccaneers with 11 tackles while Jaxon Franz finished the game with 10 tackles.

Breckan Hall and Dayne Arnett finished the game with eight tackles each.

Grand Haven will next host Holland West Ottawa to close out the regular season.
