The Hesperia football team fell to Morley Stanwood 26-12 in CSAA Silver matchup on Friday night.
Morley Stanwood controlled the entire first half and led 14-0 at halftime after scoring six points in the first quarter and eight in the second.
The Panthers finally got on the board during the third quarter, scoring on a 25-yard interception and a 56-yard punt return from Mack Baird to cut their deficit to 14-12.
Morley Stanwood responded by closing out the scoring with 14 straight points.
Hesperia, which had 187 yards of total offense, was led by Baird with 79 rushing yards on 13 carries and 43 receiving yards.
River Roberson paced the Panther defense with 10 tackles with Kile Pomeroy finished with eight.
The Panthers are now 1-2 on the season and will face Holton next week.
