The Hesperia football team fell to Division 7 defending state champion Pewamo-Westphalia 46-14 on Friday night, bringing the Panthers’ season to an end.

Pewamo-Westphalia scored 26 points in the first quarter before adding 20 more points in the second quarter to take a 46-0 halftime lead.

Hesperia’s Brandon Quinn broke the shutout with a touchdown run. Kile Pomeroy then made the score 46-8 with a successful two-point conversion run.

Pomeroy added a two-yard TD run later in the game.

Quinn led Hesperia with 63 rushing yards and a touchdown on the night.

Quinn led the defense with nine tackles, while Pomeroy added eight and River Montague had seven. 

Hesperia finishes the season with a 4-3 record overall, including a 3-2 record in the CSAA Silver conference.
