The Mason County Central football team defeated Hart 40-6 in West Michigan Conference action behind a monster game from Khole Hofmann Friday night.

Hoffman finished with 245 yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries to lead the Spartans.

With the victory, Mason County Central finishes the regular season with both an overall and conference record of 2-4.

Hofmann dominated the first half with three touchdowns for the Spartans. He put points on the board with a 45-yard punt return in the first quarter to give Mason County Central a 7-0 lead after one quarter.

In the second quarter, Hofmann scored on runs of four and 49 yards to put the Spartans up 19-0 at halftime.

In the third quarter, Hofmann scored his fourth and final touchdown on the night with a six-yard run.

Xander Gajeski punched in a 26-yard touchdown to bring the Spartan’s lead to 33-0 going into the fourth quarter.

Trent Gray scored Mason County Central’s final points with a 1-yard run.

The Pirates ended the Spartans’ shutout bid with a 19-yard pass from Braeden Carskadon.

Hofmann also led the Spartan defense with four tackles and five assisted tackles.

Gajeski chipped in 84 yards and a touchdown offensively. 

Hart finishes the regular season with a 1-5 overall record.
