Lady Turtles co-op swim team wins nine events, wins conference meet against Holland

The Greater Muskegon/Mona Shores Girls Co-op swim team picked up a conference win against Holland over the weekend. The Lady Turtles won 108-77 to improve to 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the O-K Rainbow Tier 1 conference.

The Lady Turtles picked up wins in 9 out of 12 events, including a 1-2-3 finish in diving.

Evyn Johnson (50m free, 100m fly) and Olivia McKenna (100m free, 200m free) both won a pair of events for GMMS.

Caroline Carlson won the 100m backstroke and Sam Nye won the 100m breaststroke, with Naomi Huttenga finishing second. 

The Lady Turtles took the top three spots in the diving event, with Michaela Sander, Katie Cree and ALyvia Ackerberg finishing 1-2-3.

The team of McKenna, Johnson, Robyn Hunt and Alaina Kohley won the 200m free relay, while the team of McKenna, Hunt, Carlson and Johnson won the 400m free relay.
