Mona Shores continued its undefeated football season with a 77-32 win against Grand Rapids Union in an O-K Green conference showdown.

The Sailors are now 5-0 on the season and 4-0 in the conference play.

Mona Shores jumped out to a 21-0 lead, scoring on a two-yard run by Brady Rose, a 54-yard completion from Rose to Gary Humphrey and 16-yard run by Elijah Johnson.

Grand Rapids Union responded with a touchdown before the Sailors scored on a four-yard scamper by Mark Konecny to give Mona Shores a 28-7 lead after the first quarter.

The Sailors scored five touchdowns during the second quarter. Dahmir Farnum had three rushing touchdowns, while Rose ran for a 42-yard scored and tossed a 27-yard completion to Elijah Farnum.

Mona Shores led 63-13 at halftime.

The Sailors were outscored during the third quarter by a 19-14 margin. Dahmir Farnum scored on a 65-yard run and Konecny added a 50-yard rush for a score.

Both teams failed to score during the fourth quarter.

Dahmir Farnum led Mona Shores with four touchdowns and 232 total rushing yards.

Rose was 3-for-4 passing for 82 passing yards and rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns. Konecny ran 81 yards with two touchdowns.

Jeff Lenartowicz and Karsen Marihugh led the Mona Shores defense with 10 and nine tackles, respectively.

The Sailors will close out the regular season next Friday against Zeeland West.
