Mona Shores tennis has strong day in singles, finishes tied for second in quad

The Mona Shores tennis team finished in a tie for second in a quad with Holland, Zeeland East and Zeeland West Saturday. Zeeland West won with 11 points, Mona Shores and Holland each had eight points and Zeeland East finished with five.

The Sailors had three singles winners on the day, as Drew Hackney (No. 1), Kayden Hellmann (No. 2) and Gavin Kuhn (No. 4) each went 2-0. Jace Brainard (No. 3) went 1-1 on the day. 

The No. 3 doubles team of Lydia Sowles and Sam Uptigrove went 1-1 on the day for Mona Shores.
