The North Muskegon football had a major turnaround after falling to Oakridge 42-0 last week.

The Norse bounced back on Friday with a 42-0 victory of their own against Mason County Central in a West Michigan Conference game.

North Muskegon led 7-0 after the first quarter, scoring on its first drive on a two-yard run by Brennan Panucci. 

The Norse added to their lead in the second quarter on a five-yard touchdown run by Alec Cutter and another rushing score by Panucci.

North Muskegon led 21-0 at halftime.

The Norse increased their lead to 28-0 in third quarter after scoring on an 11-yard touchdown run from Collin Schotts with just under two minutes to go in the quarter.

Panucci added his third touchdown of the night from six yards out before North Muskegon closed out the scoring with a one-yard rushing scoring by Jackson Oliphant. 

North Muskegon allowed just nine yards of total offense.

Schotts led the Norse with 219 yards on 21 carries to go with the touchdown, while Panucci added on 152 yards and three scores. Alec Cutter chipped in with 39 yards on seven carries and a touchdown.

North Muskegon is now 3-2 overall on the season while the Spartans fell to 1-4 overall.
