Spring Lake goes 2-1 in a volleyball quad match at Zeeland East

The Spring Lake volleyball squad posted a 2-1 record on Thursday in a quad match at Zeeland East.

The Lakers defeated host Zeeland East by scores of 25-20 and 25-18, then beat Northview on set scores of 25-18 and 25-16.

Spring Lake ended the night with a loss to Byron Center on service scores of 9-25 and 12-25.

Alicia Mumby led the Lakers with 24 kills, while Kendra Kieft added six aces and Kyla Kobylak chipped in with 27 assists.

Kieft paced Spring Lake defensively with 36 digs and Kalli Lewkowski contributed with five blocks.
