Thursday volleyball roundup: Kent City plows past Lakeview in three-sets

The Kent City volleyball team cruised to a three-set victory over Lakeview by scores of 25-14, 25-7 and 25-11 on Thursday.

Alyssa Larson and Hannah VanderLugt both had five kills to lead the Eagles, while Jasmine Weeks and Jenna Harrison both had three aces.

Harrison also added 10 assists for Kent City.

The Eagles were paced defensively by Kaila Krueger with 11 digs while Weeks added 10.

Kent City is now 19-3-1 overall on the season and 8-1 in league play.

WEST MICHIGAN CONFERENCE

OAKRIDGE 3, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 1- The Spartans lost by services scores of 18-25, 5-25, 25-22, 14-25.

Hailey Jackson had 10 kills to lead Mason County Central, while Braylen Green had eight assists.

The Spartans were led defensively by Amya Bathce and Mia McHenry with five digs apiece.
