The North Muskegon volleyball team opened up Division 3 district tournament play with a 3-0 sweep of Holton on Monday.
The Norse won by set scores of 25-6, 25-9, and 25-14.
Syann Fairfield paced the Norse with 12 kills while Natalie Pannucci added 10. Josee Cooke served seven aces and Emma Houseman facilitated the offense with 40 assists.
Defensively, Fairfield, Megan Houseman and Izzy Rake all finished with four digs.
The Red Devils were led by Layna Cartwright with seven kills, Abbie Fowler with 10 assists, and Kennedy Greene with three digs.
North Muskegon, now 22-12, moves on to play Kent City in the district semifinals on Wednesday.
