The Ravenna Bulldogs’ football season ended on Friday night with a 41-0 loss to perennial power Ithaca in a Division 7 district semifinal playoff game in Ithaca.

Ithaca scored twice in the first quarter on a pair of touchdown throws from quarterback Brady Hessbrook (55 and 18 yards) and led 14-0 going into the second.

Hessbrook scored on a two-yard run in the second quarter, and Ithaca led 21-0 at halftime.

The Yellowjackets tacked on two rushing touchdowns in the third quarter, then finished the scoring with a 26-yard TD pass by Hessbrook in the fourth.

The third quarter finished with two more rushing touchdowns (6-yards, 11-yards) for Ithaca to make the score 35-0 going into the final quarter.

Ravenna quarterback Kyle Beebe completed 9 of 18 passes for 88 yards, with two interceptions. Steven Cook added 67 rushing yards while teammate Hunter Hogan had three catches for 44 yards.

Defensively, Tristan Witt and Kyler Nichols led Ravenna with 5 1/2 tackles while Joel Emery added five of his own.

Ravenna finished the season with a 4-4 record.
