The Mona Shores boys bowling team opened its season with an easy victory over Allendale on Wednesday.

The Sailors won 29-1. Dylan Goryl bowled a team-high series of 376 and a high game of 194. He was followed by Caleb Leonard (357), John Gemzer (311) and Nathan Trowbridge (308). Ian Pareda bowled a single game 174 and Seth Abbey had a 128.

BOYS

ZEELAND 15, FRUITPORT 15 – The Fruitport boys started slow but rallied to tie Zeeland in their season opener.

The top Trojan bowler was Cameron Weaver, who turned in a 379 series. The other team leaders were Jay Conklin (358) and Evan Simonis (312). Conklin had the high game of 212.

GIRLS

MONA SHORES 28, ALLENDALE 2 – Riley Trygstad had the high series for the Sailors in their opener with a 300 series, followed by Payton Finklea (283), Bailey Graham (282) and Danika Cooper (252). Finklea had the high game with a 165.  Dani Mack bowled a single-game 106 and Brooklyn Graham rolled a 93.

ZEELAND 23, FRUITPORT 7 – The Trojan girls started their season with a tough loss.

Trojan bowling bowled in their first even of the year at Northway Lanes against Zeeland today.  The girls had a rough start losing 23-7. The top bowlers for Fruitport were Jessica Plichta with a 379 series and 229 game and Brynna Hanson with a 329 series and 196 game.
