The Muskegon Big Reds pulled away during second half to earn their first win of the season, defeating Zeeland West 59-47 on Tuesday

Ethan Hill led the Big Reds to their first win of the season, scoring 13 points while teammates Kalil Stimage and Anthony Sydnor III each added 12 apiece.

Hill also finished with 10 rebounds and eight assists while Stimage contributed eight rebounds and five assists.

The Big Reds trailed 17-11 after the first quarter, and 27-25 heading into halftime before pulling ahead and finishing the third quarter 40-38 advantage.

Muskegon closed out the contest with a 19-9 fourth quarter run.

The Big Reds are now 1-0 to start the season.
