The Holton Boys basketball squad continued its solid play this season, defeating Shelby 41-33 on Tuesday in a non-league contest.

Aidan Poling led the Red Devils with 19 points and five rebounds, while Wyatt Monette and Brodrick Fialek put up another eight points each.

Monette had four steals defensively with Fialek swiped three.

Holton jumped out to a 13-2 lead at the end of the first quarter and continued it into halftime with a 25-8 advantage.

The Red Devils led 31-21 at the end of the third.

The Tigers paced by Griffin Frass and Logan Claeys with seven points each.

Holton is now 7-1 for the regular season and 4-0 in the CSAA Silver Division while the Tigers fell to 3-4 for the season and 3-2 in West Michigan Conference play
