The Muskegon Community College women’s basketball squad overcame a slow start on Friday night.
The Jayhawks picked up a 61-55 win over at Glen Oaks Community College.
MCC trailed 16-12 after the first quarter despite turning the ball over on its first three possessions.
Both teams scored 12 points in the second quarter as the Jayhawks trailed 28-24 heading into halftime.
The Jayhawks came out of halftime firing on all cylinders, outscoring the Vikings 20-8 in the third quarter to take a 44-36 lead into the fourth quarter.
The Jayhawks improved to 3-1 overall, and 3-0 in conference play.
