The Reeths-Puffer boys basketball team defeated Whitehall 72-67 in a non-conference contest on Saturday afternoon.

A strong offensive first quarter saw the Rockets lead the Vikings 21-19 after the opening eight minutes.

At halftime, Whitehall held a 36-34 lead before the two teams were ultimately tied at 49-49 after three quarters.

In the final quarter, Reeths-Puffer outscored Whitehall 23-18 to pickup the victory.

Kaleb Mitchelson led the Rockets with 22 points and five assists while Kendall Smith finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Whitehall was paced by Addison Bluhm with 14 points while Red Watson and Dayton Cole each added 12 points.

The Rockets are now 2-1 overall on the season.

GREENVILLE 62, FRUITPORT 42 – The Fruitport boys basketball team fell at home in a non-conference clash on Saturday.

Camden Farrell led the Trojans with 17 points on the night.

COMSTOCK PARK 41, HOLTON 38 – Holton held a two-point halftime lead before Comstock Park began the second half on an 11-0 run that Holton was unable to overcome.

Aidan Poling led the Red Devils with 15 points while Brodrick Fialek totaled 12 points. Wyatt Monette finished with eight points and five assists for Holton who falls to 2-1 on the season.

WYOMING TRI-UNITY CHRISTIAN 64, FRUITPORT CALVARY 38 – The Eagles were outscored 23-6 in a tough second quarter on Saturday night.

Bradley Richards led the Eagles (1-1, 0-1) with 11 points and 11 rebounds while Luke Assaad added eight points.

Braden Cohea finished with seven rebounds and five assits for Fruitport Calvary.
