A balanced scoring attack led the Mona Shores girls to a win over Zeeland West in O-K Green Conference action Thursday night. Ten different Sailors scored in a 58-26 win.

Mona Shores got off to a fast start, leading 17-2 after the first quarter. The Sailors held a 38-11 halftime lead and were up 48-18 after three.

Riley Rosenthal led Mona Shores with 15 points. Lilly Miller added 10 for the Sailors and Jenna Tierman scored seven.

Mona Shores moves to 2-0 on the season.

LAKES 8 CONFERENCE

MUSKEGON CATHOLIC CENTRAL 51, ORCHARD VIEW 6 — The Crusaders were led by McKenna Gentry’s 25 points and four rebounds in a win over the Cardinals in Lakes 8 action. Erin LaVigne added 13 points, four rebounds, and three assists for MCC.

The Crusaders dominated from the opening tip, leading 14-0 after one quarter, 33-0 at halftime and 46-1 at the end of the third.

The Crusaders start the season and 1-0 in the Lakes 8 conference.

WEST MICHIGAN CONFERENCE

HART 46, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 23 — Kendall Williamson scored a game-high 11 points to lead Hart, while teammate Jayd Hovey packed the stat sheet with 10 points, six steals, five assists and five rebounds.

The Pirates led 17-9 after the first quarter, 27-15 at halftime and 43-19 at the end of the third quarter.

Mason County Central was led by Adria Quigley with 10 points and five rebounds and Nyah Tyron with six points and four rebounds.

WEST MICHIGAN D LEAGUE

PENTWATER 48, BIG RAPIDS CROSSROADS 25 — Mikaylyn Kenney posted a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead Pentwater. Jocelyn Richison added nine points on the night followed by teammate Haidyn Adams with seven.

The Falcons led the first quarter 17-2, 29-12 going into halftime and 42-16 at the end of third quarter.

Pentwater moves to 2-0 on the season and will play Manistee Catholic next Tuesday, February 16th.
