Aiden Poling poured in 22 points, leading the Holton boys basketball team to an impressive 55-37 victory over Ravenna on Wednesday in non-league action.

Brodrick Fialek added 12 points for the Red Devils while teammate Wyatt Monette had nine points and eight rebounds.

The score was tied 10-10 at the end of the first quarter. Holton led 29-17 going into halftime, and 42-26 at the end of the third quarter.

Ravenna was led by Kyle Beebe with nine points while Joel Emery added eight points for the Bulldogs.

Holton improved to 4-1 on the season.

NON-CONFERENCE

MUSKEGON CATHOLIC CENTRAL 64, HESPERIA 22 – Muskegon Catholic broke into the win column with the non-league victory.

Jaden Johnson had a double-double in the win, recording 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Crusaders. Tommy Kartes added 11 points and eight rebounds while Lucas Carlton had nine points for MCC.

The Crusaders led 16-14 at the end of the first quarter, 36-16 going into halftime, and 55-19 at the end of the third.

Hesperia was led by Maddox Mosley with seven points.

The Crusaders are now 1-4 on the season.

HART 50, WHITE CLOUD 47 – Parker Hovey led Hart with 15 points while Delfino Hernandez added nine points on three triples.

Hart trailed 10-7 in the first quarter, but led 23-17 going into halftime, and 40-27 at the end of the third quarter.

The Pirates’ lead increased to 14 at one point in the second half, but White Cloud fought back and made the game close. Kohen Porter helped season the win for Hart by hitting five of six from the free throw line in the final minutes.

The Pirates are now 1-3 on the season.

GIRLS

RAVENNA 51, HOLTON 37 – Haley Lemkie led Ravenna with 13 points while teammate Delaney Mabrito had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Holton led 10-8 after one quarter, but Ravenna led 23-17 going into halftime and 34-24 at the end of the third quarter.

Abigail Fowler led Holton with 14 points while teammate Ryann Robins pulled down 13 rebounds.
