The Grand Haven hockey team fell short of a conference title on Saturday, losing 4-2 to Kenowa Hills.
If the Bucs had won, they would’ve clinched a conference championship ahead of postseason play which begins on Tuesday.
Grnd Haven trailed 1-0 after one period on Saturday.
In the second period, Bryce Wert and Zach Mitchell each scored for Grand Haven but the Bucs also gave up two goals and trailed 3-2 after two periods.
A Kenowa Hills empty netter in the third period ultimately made the final score 4-2.
Grand Haven will take on Traverse City ST. Francis on Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Griffs Ice House in the first round of regional play.
