Saturday wrestling roundup: Montague, Hart and Reeths-Puffer all have great days on the mat

The Montague wrestling team finished the regular season on Saturday with a 3-0 day at the Ludington quad, defeating Cadillac 50-27, Ludington 66-18 and Traverse City St. Francis 63-12.

Wrestlers who went undefeated for the Wildcats were Autumn Phipps, Kevin Roll, Chris Aebig, Aiden Perreault, Cale Coppess, Logan Fairchild, Aaron Rolf, Presley Davis, Nataie Bassett, Emma Pendell, Sam Guzman and Andy Hernandez.

The Montague wrestling team finished the regular season with a 23-4 record.

REETHS-PUFFER 65, NORTHVIEW 9 – The Rockets only lost one match on Saturday while voiding at another weight in a dominant performance.

Picking up wins for Reeths-Puffer were Gavin Wierenga, Gerald Woodland, Kaden Malotke, Connor Bloomstrom, Stephen Salazar, Jacob Blawat, Alex Chipman, Jimmy Rozycki, Payton Dobben, Eric Suttorp and Nathan Straley.

HART FINISHES SEASON ON EXCELLENT NOTE – The Hart wrestling team completed its season by going 3-0 on Saturday.

The Pirates defeated state ranked Sparta 35-27, St. Joseph 42-33 and Grand Haven 33-27.

Spencer Vanderzwaag, Thomas Tanner and Leo Guadarrama all went undefeated on the day.

Hart finishes the regular season with a 22-4 record.
