Three area teams and five individuals took home Michigan High School Athletic Association bowling regional championships on Friday and Saturday.
The regional championship teams were the Whitehall girls in Division 2, the Western Michigan Christian boys in Division 4 and the Ravenna girls in Division 4.
Individuals who won regional championships were Bailey Graham of Mona Shores in Division 1, Karli VanDuinen of Whitehall in Division 2, Breanna Medacco of Oakridge in Division 3, Ryan Michael of Western Michigan Christian in Division 4 and Heidi Kloostra of Ravenna in Division 4.
In total, 24 individuals and five teams qualified for the MHSAA state bowling finals, which will take place on March 26 and 27 at various locations.
