Wednesday wrestling roundup: Reeths-Puffer, Montague and Whitehall all go 3-0 in quads

The Reeths-Puffer wrestling team picked up a trio of competitive wins in a quad at Caledonia on Wednesday. The Rockets beat the hosts 47-30, topped Jenison 43-30 and came away with a 41-33 edge over Forest Hills Central.

Seven wrestlers posted 3-0 records for the Rockets Wednesday. Connor Bloomstrom (112), Jacob Blawat (119), Kaden Malotke (130), Alex Chipman (135), Jimmy Rozycki (152), Payton Dobben (171) and Caleb McNeil (189) each won all three of their matches. 

Montague picks up big wins in 3-0 quad performance

The Wildcats improved to 20-4 on the year by going 3-0 in a quad Wednesday. The Wildcats topped Manistee 73-0, beat Lakeview 63-9 and won 45-30 over Hesperia.

Kevin Roll, Cale Coppess, Aiden Perreault, Presley Davis, Natalie Bassett, Emma Pendell, Logan Fairchild, Tyler Risch, Logan Kahl, Andy Hernandez and Aron Rolf each went undefeated on the night for the Wildcats.

Whitehall 3-0, Hart 2-1 in WMC quad

The Vikings posted a pair of big wins against Shelby (67-0) and Mason County Central (69-12) and beat Hart 39-22. Ira Jenkins and Max Brown were among those who had good days on the mat, going 3-0. 

The Pirates went 2-1 in the quad, with wins over Shelby (69-3) and MCC (66-15). Bryce Jorissen, Trenton Swihart, Spencer Vanderzwaag, Chance Alvesteffer, Mason Cantu and Leo Guadaramma all went undefeated on the day for Hart. 

Muskegon Catholic wins twice at Kent City quad

The Crusaders went 2-1 on the day, picking up a 57-0 win over Ludington and a 51-12 victory over Holton while falling 60-18 against Kent City.

Frank Bartolameoli went 3-0 for MCC, while Jack Walkenhorst, Gunner Stout, Aiden Cook, David Hill, Easton Cook and Zach Michael each picked up two wins.
