The Western Michigan Christian girls basketball squad locked up a Division 3 district championship after cruising to a 51-17 win over North Muskegon on Friday night.

The Warriors led 9-4 after the first quarter, 26-6 at halftime and 49-8 through three quarters.

Taylor Folkema had 17 points, four assists and four steals to lead WMC, while Maddie Wiersema added 12 points.

The Norse were paced by Natalie Pannucci with six points and Josee Cooke with four.

The Warriors will play Kent City on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Grandville Calvin Christian in a Division 3 regional semifinal contest.
