Freshman Emma Lamiman and senior Syann Fairfield combined in goal for a shutout as the North Muskegon girls soccer team downed Grand Rapids Covenant Christian 3-0 on Friday in non-conference action.
Laminam played the first half while Fairfield, who is coming off an injury, played the second.
Natalie Panucci, Emily Olsen and Audrey Wilson all scored for the Norse, who are now 3-0 overall.
WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 6, FREMONT 0 – Brooklyn Watts scored two goals for the Warriors in the non-league victory.
WMC also got single goals from Kaiya Betten, Ally Oppenhuizen, Sidney Betten and Natalie Riksen.
Goalkeeper Libby Mast posted the shutout.
ORCHARD VIEW 4, MONTAGUE 1 – Payton Bleich scored two goals to lead Orchard View.
The Cardinals led 2-1 at halftime, Bleich scored the first goal off a coner kick from Kyah McGruther. Montague’s Allison Hall tied the game with an unassisted goal, then Tania Furlough scored for OV before halftime.
McGruther and Bleigh scored in the second half to put the Cardinals in control.
Orchard View is 2-0 on the season.
