The Mona Shores softball squad won a pair of games against Zeeland East 10-6 and 13-11 on Friday in a twin bill.

Macey Spaniola was able to break the tie in the top of the sixth inning to win Game 1.

Spaniola’s single helped give the Sailors the lead after opening the restarted game 6-6 in the sixth inning.

The Sailors had 11 hits in the game as Hanna Geoghan, Maggie McCarthy and Elizabeth Savacool each had multiple hits.

The bats stayed hot for the Sailors, as they opened the second game with seven runs in the first inning.

The Sailors entered the sixth inning down 11-10 when Brooklyn Graham hit a two-run home run to take the lead.

Mona Shores collected 15 hits in the second game as McCarthy, Alexis Brayton, Spaniola, Graham, and Hannah Geoghan all had multiple hits in the game. Brayton and McCarthy both added three hits apiece.
