Meah Bajt had three goals and two assists as the Spring Lake girls soccer team downed Grand Rapids West Catholic 5-0 on Monday in an O-K Blue conference matchup.

Ella Andree and Emily Anderson both added one goal apiece for the Lakers. Ryann Gilchirst had two assists and Eryn Bouwhuis had one.

Freshman goalie Jessica Stewart got the shutout for Spring Lake.

The Lakers are now 3-1-1 on the season.

MONA SHORES 8, SAULT STE. MARIE 0 – Riley Rosenthal scored three goals while Annie Anderson added two in the Sailors’ easy victory at Saturday’s Traverse City Central Invitational.

Jenna Baker, Payton Silk, and Kennedy McCombs all added one goal for the Sailors. Lauren Davis, Bri Wade, Sophia Fisher, Molly Wolf, Silk and Anderson had assists.

The Sailors played to a 0-0 draw with state power DeWitt in the other game. Ella Buikema got the shutout in goal for Mona Shores, which is now 7-1-1 on the season.

GRAND HAVEN 1, FOREST HILLS EASTERN 1 – Grand Haven trailed 1-0 at halfttime, but Carley Wagaski saved the day for the Bucs by scoring a late goal.

Grand Haven is now 3-2-2 overall and 3-1-1 in conference play. 

FREMONT 4, KENT CITY 2 – Alaina Wachter scored three goals as the Packers rallied for the conference victory on Monday.

Wachter scored the first of her goals 18 minutes into the match, before Kent City managed to score twice to take a 2-1 lead.

The Packers got a goal from Trinity Freriks to tie the game 2-2 entering halftime. Wachter hit two penalty shots in the second half to sew up the victory for Fremont.

Kent City outshot Fremont 20-15, but the Packer goalies stepped up big with 18 saves.

Fremont is now 2-5 overall and 2-1 in conference play while Kent City is 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

NEWAYGO 1, MONTAGUE 0 – The Wildcats were unable to find the goal in the tight loss. Janae Koetje played a strong game ini goal for Montague, which outshot Newaygo in the game.
