The Mona Shores soccer team remained perfect in conference play with a big win over Holland Thursday night. The Sailors dominated 8-0 to improve to 4-0 in O-K Green play.

Leading the offensive outburst were Bri Wade and Lydia Sowles with two goals each. Riley Rosenthal and Annie Anderson both had one goal and one assist. 

Sofia Fisher and Mia Brown both found the back of the net once, Kennedy McCombs had two assists and Ali Trautner tallied an assist as well.

Ella Buikema recorded a clean sheet making two saves in the victory. The Sailors outshot Holland 18-2.

With the win the Sailors improve to 6-1 overall, and 4-0 in conference play.

O-K GREEN

REETHS-PUFFER 9, MUSKEGON 0 — Sophia Hekkema scored a hat trick as Reeths-Puffer dominated Muskegon.

Six different players scored for the Rockets Thursday. After Hekkema’s three goals, Billie Triska scored two and Megan Kwolek, Brooke Bradly, Emma Dykema and McKenna Monette each had one.

Emersen Berndt, Savanah Parker, Dykema, and Triska all added assists on the night.

Ava Klopp got the shutout in the net as the Rockets moved to 3-1-1 overall and 2-1-1 in conference play.

O-K RED

GRAND HAVEN 2, WEST OTTAWA 1 — The Bucs came from behind to pick up an O-K Red conference win over West Ottawa on Thursday night. 

West Ottawa opened the scoring, before Mia Strohmeyer tied the game for the Bucs before halftime. Neala Wilson scored the eventual game winning goal in the second half.

With the win, the Bucs improve to 3-2-1 overall, and 3-1-1 in conference play.

WEST MICHIGAN CONFERENCE

MONTAGUE 3, RAVENNA 0 — Three different Wildcats scored as they outmatched Ravenna in a West Michigan Conference matchup Thursday night.

Both Katie Weesies and Kendall Osborne picked up a goal and an assist apiece. Braquelle Osborne was the other Wildcat to find the back of the net. Katie Nuttall also added an assist on the goal by Weesies.

Goalie Janae Koetje posted the shutout for the Wildcats. Montague is now 2-3 overall and 1-2 in the conference.

OAKRIDGE 2, SHELBY 0 — The Eagles shut down the Tigers to pick up a West Michigan Conference win Thursday night.

Mckenzie Swarts scored off an assist from Haley Seewald, then assisted Audrey Wildig on a header for the Eagles’ second goal.

Goalie Izzy Glassford made one save in the net to earn the shutout. 

The Eagles are now 5-4 overall and 3-0 in conference play. Shelby is 2-6 overall and 1-1 in the WMC. 

NON CONFERENCE

ORCHARD VIEW 9, HART 1 — Kyah McGruther’s four goals led the Cardinals in non-conference soccer action on Thursday night. 

Mikaela Epplett chipped in with a goal and an assist, while Payten Bleich, Damaya Harrison, Brooklyn Gould and Mackenzie Filipiak all added their names to the score sheet with a goal each. 

Cristelia Rangel scored the lone Pirates goal.

O-K BLUE

SPRING LAKE 3, COOPERSVILLE 0 (Wednesday) — Meah Bajt scored twice for the Lakers in a conference win. Zoe Komar scored for Spring Lake as well, while Eryn Bouwhuis and Ryann Gilchrist each had assists.

Freshman Jessica Stewart earned a shutout in the net.
