The Holton softball squad continued their fantastic start, sweeping White Cloud in a doubleheader 10-0 and 7-3 on Tuesday in CSAA action.

Freshman Abbie Fowler pitched the shutout in Game 1, posting eight strikeouts and allowing two hits.

Fowler also went 2-for-3 with a triple, while Jasmine Vriesman was a perfect 3-for-3 recording a triple.

In Game 2, Kylie Gould picked up the win, recording eight strikeouts.

Holton totaled 15 hits as a team, including Maddie Bosset who went 4-for-4 with a triple and a double while Ryan Robins was 2-for-4 with a home run.

The Red Devils are now 8-1 on the season and 6-0 in conference play.

O-K BLUE CONFERENCE

HAMILTON 2-16, FRUITPORT 3-4 – The Trojans dropped both games of a doubleheader in O-K Blue action on Tuesday.

In Game 1, Cassie Kohnke got the start on the mound, while Jenna Springstead went 3-for-3 offensively.

Hamilton jumped out to seven runs in the first inning in Game 2. Fruitport’s leading hitter in the contest was Jenna VanderVelde, who was 2-for-3 with a double.

The Trojans are now 4-3 overall on the season.
