The Whitehall baseball team picked up a 10-9 non-conference victory over Coopersville on Monday night in their first game of the season.

Pitcher Christian Smolen picked up the victory, allowing four runs while striking out eight over five innings.

Aiden Raymond picked up the save for Whitehall.

Offensively, Cayden Ritchie led the Vikings with two hits, three runs scored and three stolen bases while Ryan Bradenburg added two hits of his own.
