The Mona Shores baseball team was dominant on Saturday, sweeping Grand Haven 16-3 and 11-0.

Brady Whalen picked up the win in Game 1, allowing three runs over 5 and 1/3 innings while allowing just three hits and striking out two.

Mark Konecny led the Sailor offense with three hits including two triples while scoring three runs and having five RBIs. Mason Brunworth also had three hits including a double while also scoring three runs.

In Game 2, Jason Anderson picked up the win, allowing just three hits and striking out five in the six inning shutout.

Aaron Piasecki led the offense with three hits, two RBIs and a run scored.

MONTAGUE 5-9, ALLEDANLE 4-5 – Tugg Nichols led the Montague offense in the first game with two hits and two runs scored while also totaling two RBIs. Aidan Buchberger finished with two doubles and one RBI in Game 1.

In Game 2, Nick Moss had three hists while scoring four runs and knocking in two RBIs. Buchberger totaled three hits and three RBIs.

OAKRIDGE GOES 1-2 – The Oakridge baseball team went up to Traverse City over the weekend and lost 12-2 to Traverse City Central on Friday. The Eagles wrapped up the trip on Saturday, beating Forest Hills Eastern 2-1 but falling 11-3 to Grand Blanc.

Corey Vanderputte had three total runs on the weekend to lead the Oakridge offense while Ethan Miller had three runs scored and one RBI.
