The Mona Shores girls soccer team opened D1 district play with a 2-0 win over Grand Haven on Friday night.
Mia Brown scored both goals for the Sailors, while Lydia Sowels and Riley Rosenthal each notched an assist a piece.
Mona Shores’ goalkeeper Ella Buikema picked up her 11th shutout of the season.
The Sailors are now 15-3-1 on the season and will host Grandville on Wednesday in district semifinal action.
