A five-run fourth inning helped Reeths-Puffer take down Holland 5-2 on Monday night in a conference clash.

Alex Johnson started the fourth inning with a double before Connor Paugh singled him in. Ayden Willacker, Brody Panozzo and Kendall Smith all knocked in a run to finish out the inning.

Ryan Barmes threw a complete game, allowing no earned runs on three hits while striking out 11.

Reeths-Puffer is now 6-5 on the season.

MONTAGUE 4, FREMONT 1 – The bats of Kade Johnson and Tugg Nchiols helped the Wildcats in their non-conference victory over Fremont.

Johnson and Owen Petersen each scored on a single by Nichols in the second inning while a run was later scored on a fielder’s choice. Aidan Buchberger capped off the inning with an RBI single that scored Dylan Everett.

Petersen picked up the win on the mound, surrendering one run on three hits while walking three and striking out six. Trey Mikkelsen got the save, notching three strikeouts.

Johnson finished two-for-two with a double while Nichols had two RBIs and a double.

Montague is now 10-8 overall on the season.

GRANT 16-4, SHELBY 5-2 – The Shelby offense couldn’t keep up offensively with Grant as they lost both games on Monday.

Logan Claeys led Shelby with three hits while Isaac Aebig finished with two hits.
