Nick Moss hits a walk off sacrifice fly to lead the Montague baseball team to a 3-2 victory over Muskegon Catholic on Saturday in the championship game of the Greater Muskegon Athletic Association Tier 2 City Baseball Tournament.

Colton Blankstrom picked up the win in the championship game, pitching seven innings while allowing two runs and striking out four. 

Montague opened the scoring in the bottom of the second inning with a two-rubn double by Trey Mikkelsen.

The Crusader’s Gabe Johnson tied the game with a two-run home run in the top of the seventh inning. That led to Moss’ game-winning sac fly in the bottom of the inning.

Montague defeated Whitehall 8-0 in the semifinal game. Kade Johnson picked up the win, tossing 4 ⅔ innings while allowing three hits and striking out seven.

Sam Smith led the offense with a two-run homer. Blankstrom recorded a pair of hits and drove in two runs.

MCC beat Fruitport 11-1 in the other semifinal. Pitcher Max Price struck out nine and only allowed three hits for the Crusaders.Navarre Klint, Gabe Johnson, and Sam Convertini each knocked in two runs for MCC. Cody Matuz had a hit and an RBI for Fruitport.
