The North Muskegon girls tennis team improved its record to 16-3-1 with a pair of impressive victories over opponents from distant cities.

The Norse defeated Niles Brandywine 7-1. Winners included Alicia Hall (No. 1 singles), Noa Bowen (No. 2 singles), Fia Lindsay (No. 3 singles), and Francie Vinson (No. 4 singles). All won in straight sets, and Hall, Bowen and Lindsay won every game of their matches.

In doubles, Gabby Gaston and Sarah Muzzy (No. 1), Ella Tarrant and Anna Toebe (No. 3) and Marilyn Gaston and Greta Goszkowicz (No. 4) won for North Muskegon, all in straight sets.

In another match, North Muskegon downed Clarkston Everest Collegiate, a state-ranked team, 6-2. Bowen, Lindsay all won in straight-set shutouts in singles while Hall won by forfeit.

Doubles winners were Gaston and Muzzy, and Gaston and Goszkowicz. Both teams won in straight sets.
