Prep tennis roundup: Whitehall sweeps Big Rapids, Ludington downs Manistee to stay unbeaten in conference play

The Whitehall tennis team won all eight matches by straight sets in an 8-0 victory over Big Rapids on Friday in non-conference action.

Winning singles matches for the Vikings were Lily Groessl (No. 1), Kenedy Woodring (No. 2), Jennifer Mark (No. 3), and Lucy Zamojcin (No. 4).

Doubles winners were Lacey Herbert and Autumn Ferris (No. 1), Mylee Boyd and Chloe Christensen (No. 2), Sarah VanDam and Mackenzie Hall (No. 3), and Addy Bernhardt and Elizabeth Bentz (No. 4).

LUDINGTON 7, MANISTEE 1 – The Orioles improved to 4-0 in Lakes 8 Conference play with the victory.

Winning singles matches for Ludington were Johanna Seibert (No. 1), Hannah Glanville (No. 2) and Kelly McPike (No. 3).

Doubles winners were Lillian Kolb and Emma McKinley (No. 1), Rachel Sarto and Hannah Filter (No. 2), Morgan Sanocki and Grace Higley (No. 3) and Meg Ruba and Sophia Sarto (No. 4).

Ludington won at No. 4 singles by forfeit. The Orioles won the seven matches in straight sets.
