Spring Lake girls soccer defeats Grand Haven on Saturday behind strong first half

The Spring Lake girls soccer team defeated Grand Haven 2-1 on Saturday in a competitive non-conference clash.

The Spring Lake goals were scored by Meah Bajt who was assisted by Emily Anderson and Zoe Komar who was assisted by Ella Andree.

Spring Lake held a 2-0 halftime lead before Leah Huyler headed home an assist from Neala Wilson to make the score 2-1.

Spring Lake improves to 7-2-1 overall on the season.

With the loss, Grand Haven is now 6-4-2 overall and remains 6-2-1 in conference play.
