Grand Haven and Rockford battled to a 1-1 draw in a showdown of two of the top teams in the O-K Red Thursday night.

The Bucs got off to a hot start, with Neala Wilson finding the back of the net early for a 1-0 lead, which held through halftime. Rockford tied the game on a corner kick in the second half, bringing the final score to 1-1.

Hannah Taylor made several saves in the net for Grand Haven. The Bucs are now 7-4-3 overall, including 7-2-2 in the O-K Red, which is good for third place in the conference.  

NONCONFERENCE

RAVENNA 1, FREMONT 0 — The Bulldogs came out ahead in a defensive battle Thursday night. The game was scoreless at halftime, but Ravenna found the back of the net early in the second half to take the lead.

Macey Powers made seven saves for Fremont, which falls to 2-8-2 on the season. Ravenna is now 8-9 after the win. 

MONTAGUE 1, FRUITPORT 0 — The Wildcats edged the Trojans in a non-conference battle Thursday. Peyton Johnson scored the lone goal of the game off an assist from Kendall Osborne.

Montague improves to 9-4 on the season, while Fruitport falls to 1-10.
