Wednesday tennis roundup: Spring Lake sneaks past Fruitport while Whitehall dominates

The Spring Lake girls tennis team defeated Fruitport 5-3 on Wednesday in a highly competitive matchup.

Winning matches for Spring Laker were Morgan Whitaker (No.4 singles) and the teams of Zoe Walters and Taylor Gates (No.1 doubles), Allie Peasley and Lucy Hylant (No.2 doubles), Mahi Braak and Zoe Ruffing (No.3 doubles) and the team of Kyla Kobylak and Lily Schafer.

Fruitport winners were Alison Blakeman (No.1 singles), Hope Busscher (No.2 singles) and Grace Sweet (No.3 singles).

WHITEHALL 7, LUDINGTON 1 – Winning singles matches for Whitehall on Wednesday were Lily Groessl (No.1 singles), Kenedy Woodring (No.2 singels), Jennifer Mark (No.3 singles) and Lucy Zamojcin (No.4 singles).

Doubles teams who won for Whitehall were Chloe Christensen and Mylee Boyd (No.2 doubles), Sarah VanDam and Mackenzie Hall (No.3 doubles) Elizabeth Bentz and Addy Bernhardt (No.4 doubles).

The Ludington doubles team of Lillian Kolb and Emma McKinley (No.1 doubles) were the lone winners for the Orioles.
