The Grant Tigers had few responses in their football season opener on Thursday night and suffered a 55-6 loss to visiting Comstock Park.

Nathan Lang’s 85-yard touchdown kickoff return sparked Grant to trail 14-6. But it was momentarily.

Comstock Park found its fire and tallied scores on the next six possessions.

Grant was lead offensively by Brady Jacobs with eight carries for 83 yards.

Treyton Railling fought hard on defense for the Tigers, recording six tackles including one for a loss.

Also contributing on defense for Grant was Gage Scholtens, Chase Geers, Zach Barnhart and Chase Kazemier, each making four tackles.
