Brady Jacobs intercepted a Fremont pass in the end zone with 20 seconds left to seal a Grant win on Friday night.

The Tigers outlasted the Packers 20-14 in a Central State – Gold showdown.

Jacobs played well on both sides of the ball, going 7-of-10 passing for 68 yards, rushing for 177 yards and three touchdowns for Grant. Zachary Barnhart caught two passes for 42 yards.

Taking charge on defense, the Tigers’ Sawyer Carr made eight tackles with two being for a loss and Gage Schlotens made seven tackles with one for a loss and a pass breakup.

Nolan Corvers recorded seven tackles while Treyton Railling and Angel Tello had six tackles for Grant (2-3, 2-2 Central State-Gold).

The Tigers will take a long trip to take on Wisconsin’s Cle Elum-Roslyn on Friday.

Fremont (0-4, 0-3 Central State-Gold) will visit Howard City Tri County to continue conference competition.
