Fruitport fights off Reeths-Puffer for 1-1 tie in boys soccer

The Fruitport boys soccer team battled Reeths-Puffer to a 1-1 draw in a non-league matchup on Tuesday.

After a scoreless first half, Reeths-Puffer struck first with an Ashton Carpenter goal.

The Trojans answered minutes later as Jackson Rebone slotted home a shot off of a Zach Schaefer assist.

Goalkeeper Justin Laus had two saves in net for the Fruitport.

Fruitport is now 9-0-3 on the season and is home Thursday, hosting Oakridge.

Reeths-Puffer will take a trip to East Grand Rapids on Thursday.
