Grand Haven did not have any answers for host Caledonia’s ground attack in the Bucs’ 42-12 O-K Red loss on Friday night.

Grand Haven (3-2, 2-1) allowed the Scots to rush for 411 yards in the contest and Caledonia was 8 for 8 on third down.

The Bucs fell behind in the first quarter 7-0, but Ryan Francis answered with a 33-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Owen Worthington.

After a Caledonia score and successful 2-point conversion, Worthington answered again with a 9-yard touchdown run as Grand Haven trailed just 15-13 before halftime.

But the Bucs didn’t get any closer as the Scots scored the next four touchdowns to pull away.

The Bucs were led by Worthington, who was 9-of-14 for 121 yards and a touchdown. The senior quarterback added eight carries for 44 yards and a touchdown.

Francis finished with 41 yards on 11 carries and had 50-yards receiving and a touchdown on three catches.

Jaxon Franz led the Bucs’ defense with four tackles.

Next week, Grand Haven hosts 2-3 Grandville at 7 p.m. at Buccaneer Stadium.
