The Hart girls and boys varsity cross country teams swept the first WMC Jamboree of the season on Tuesday afternoon, held at Ravenna.
The Pirate girls placed eight runners in the top twenty to sweep the meet. Alyson Enns led Hart, crossing the finish line with a time of 19:04.39.
Jessica Jazwinski (19:39.13) and Audrianna Enns (19:51.09) took second and third for Hart, respectively.
Other Hart Top-20 finisher’s included Lexie Beth Nienhuis (9th), Lauren VanderLaan (11th), Abigail Pretty (15th), Savanna Owens (16th) and Brooklyn Carter (17th).
Rounding out the area’s top ten finishers included Gabriella Wingard of North Muskegon (4th ), Cami Kraai of Whitehall (5th), Emma Soelberg from Shelby (6th), Isabelle Auch of Montague (7th), Carolyn Bennett from North Muskegon (8th) and rounding out the top ten was Hayli Fagan of Whitehall (10th).
Total team points for the meet were; Hart (22), Whitehall (45), Muskegon Oakridge (105), Shelby (119), Montague (121), Mason County Central (141) and Ravenna (183).
In boy’s action, the Pirates placed seven runner’s in the Top 20 and four runner’s in the top seven.
Taking top honors from Hart was Calvin Ackley with a time of 16:59.83. He was followed by teammate Noah Bosley (17:27.08). Whitehall’s Andre Richmond of Whitehall (17:32.40) followed in third.
Other Top 10 finisher’s included Riley Buys (Whitehall), Jude Meldrum-Roy (North Muskegon), Seth Ackley (Hart), Wyatt Dean (Hart), Owen Fairchild (Montague), Cale Coppress (Montague) and Carter McIllroy (Whitehall).
