The Hesperia Panthers volleyball team went 2-1 in a quad against Onekema, Mason County Central and Muskegon Catholic last Thursday, September 16.

The Panthers’ day started with a win against Onekema with set scores of 25-18 and 25-19. Rolling into another victory, Hesperia topped Mason County Central 25-17 and 25-21.

In its final match, Hesperia fells shot of a perfect day by falling to Muskegon Catholic 25-21 and 25-22.

Hesperia was led by Lacey McCallum had 42 assists, 11 kills, four aces and 17 digs. Emmet Tinkham made 16 kills and two blocks also scoring five aces. Elli McAree had 13 kills, 14 digs and made a block.

Maddie Stevens contributed by scoring four aces and 16 digs.

Hesperia finishes out the first half of conference play on Wednesday at home against the Holton Red Devils and are now an even 2-2 in league play.
