With five girl’s finishing in the top ten, the Kent City Eagles, easily took top team honors at the CSAA Silver Jamboree at Baker Woods (Hesperia) on Tuesday afternoon.

The Eagles, ranked 10th in the latest LP Girl’s, Division 3, Associated press polls, would finish with a low score of 19. They would easily outdistanced the rest of the field; Morley Stanwood (77), White Cloud (83), Holton (83), Lakeview (103) and Hesperia (135).

Leading the way and taking top individual honor’s was Kent City, freshman, Lila Volkers with a time of 20:25.21. Other local runner’s finishing in the top ten included; Alyeska Linsley (3rd/Kent City), Isabella Max (4th/Kent City), Kierra Flegel (5th/Kent City), Emily Lantzer (6th/Kent City), Vanessa Peltoniemi (7th. Holton), Aubrey Goyings (8th/Holton) and Alisha Esquivel (9th/Kent City).

In boy’s action, White Cloud (28) would narrowly defeat Kent City (36). They would be followed by Morley Stanwood (88), Hesperia (105), Holton (118) and Lakeview (126).

Taking top individual honor’s was sophomore, Samuel Martini of Kent City, with a time of 18:23.70. Other local top ten finishers, would include: Jaren Vogel (3rd/Kent City), Sam Freeland (8th/Kent City), Stephen Priese (9th/Hesperia) and Leto Pendelton (10th) Kent City.
