The Kent City Eagles got back on the Friday night winning track with a 48-6 rout of Lakeview.

The Eagles offense was clicking as evidenced by their 436 yards of total offense.

Junior quarterback Kyler Larson passed for 170 yards with two touchdowns. Junior Kyle Montarusso had an electrifying 94-yard touchdown catch and senior Hayden Carlson added one from 55 yards.

Mason Westbrook had a pair of rushing touchdowns for the Eagles, one from 44 yards out and one from 25. Zane Kirk had one rushing touchdown.

The defense for the Eagles had a solid night stifling the Lakeview run-option attack.

Westbrook, a linebacker, led the defense with eight tackles. Seniors Joe Anderson and James Farrington recorded five tackles each.

Kent City, 2-1, 1-0, will host Morley-Stanwood next week.
