The Fremont Packers and the Newaygo Lions squared off in a CSAA matchup on Monday with the Packers dominating in a 5-1 win.

Marcus Klimek netted four goals while Chaz Miller put away one to put the Packers up 5-0 at the end of the first half.

Deegan Hall scored the lone goal for the Lions with 13 minutes left in competition capping off the scoring.

In the net for the Packers Carter Miller made two saves.

Fremont improves to 8-2-4 on the season and remains undefeated in the CSAA Gold and will host Reed City on Tuesday.

With the loss Newaygo drops to 4-10 with a Central State – Gold Conference record of 3-3. The Lions will be home against Kent City on Tuesday to continue league play.
