Mona Shores gets first O-K Green win of the season, Gavin Cheatum nets game winner against Zeeland West

The Mona Shores boys Soccer team held on against Zeeland West 3-2 in a tough O-K Green matchup on Tuesday at home.

The Sailor’s defense played well with Kyle Leenhouts and Tyler Leenhouts leading the way.

Gavin Cheatum scored the game-winning goal for Mona Shores.

Erik Uijterlinde scored the first goal for the Sailors off a pass from Tyler Leenhouts. Keen Pulaski found the net next with an assist by Dan Vanderploeg. 

Mona Shores rises to 3-2-1 on the season and 1-1 in the OK Green action.

The Sailors are set to travel to Zeeland East on Thursday.
