Mona Shores volleyball starts O-K Green season on right foot, tops GR Union in three

Kicking off its O-K Green conference volleyball season, Mona Shores squashed Grand Rapids Union in three straight sets (25-4, 25-10, 25-5).

Each member of Mona Shores stepped up in key ways and held their guard through the match.

Leading for the Sailors was Grace Norris with 15 assists, five aces, one block, four kills and eight digs.

Also contributing for Mona Shores was Kyann Hellmann with eight assists, nine aces, six kills and five digs.

Anabeth Hylland had seven kills, one block and 12 digs, Holli Brus had 10 digs and three kills and Ava Dunn made five kills.

With the win, Mona Shores is now  7-5 and 1-0 on the season.

The Sailors are set to compete on Saturday at the Fruitport invite.
